When rainy days come flooding in your life, it’s hard to see through the dark clouds of chaos. One healing component that has been the source of hope & inspiration for humankind through these tough times, is music. This became more evident when Emamkay & Bokang Ramatlapeng came together to bring us a beacon of hope in the form of their recent song ‘When The Sun Rises’ .

After 8 months since he’s last release “Tides of Freedom EP”, Basso Relievo graces our ears and goes vintage with his new-old-school record “Georgie”. This jazz infused boom bap classic is inspired by the infamous Georgie “Papa G” Zamdela original name Darlington Michaels, one of Mzansi’s most loved soapies actors from Isidingo.
Durban based singer, rapper, beat-maker & songwriter Lungelo Manzi has once again shown he’s more than emerging talent, but a consistent force to be reckoned with. His new single carries a fusion of R&B and Hip-Hop where Mr Manzi expresses his undying love. Commenting on the album art and it’s link to the song on Genius, Manzi says “The robot-like pose on the bench references the movie character “Forrest Gump” who famously sits on a similar bench relating his personal story and his love for Jenny. This image draws a similar parallel with the story of the song, which speaks to a partner almost, pining, for the one they love with an earnestness akin to Forrest Gump.”
